Bun Tea Coffee is one of a kind mobile coffee truck based in Bangalore. It specializes in catering to all type of events like weddings, birthdays, corporate events and much more.

The Task

Bun Tea Coffee knew that their business depends on creating a brand that will leave a visual imprint on the customer. Hence they wanted a logo which was fun, quirky and brought out the essence of their brand. Also, the logo had to be versatile enough that the client could use it on its products, websites, stationery and social network profiles.

The Thought

In India we have a tea coffee stall on every other corner. But our client had unique concept which made them different from thousand other tea coffee vendors. However, in order to get noticed the client needed something that was refreshing, eye-catching and memorable. Another important aspect that we had to consider was creating a logo which appealed to varied audience. Plus the biggest challenge came from the client’s biggest strength – their mobility. Hence, we needed to design a logo which would go with all backgrounds and lightings.

The Process

The first step was having an in-depth meeting with the client to get to know their expectations, the target audience and their goal. Post that, we carried out our own research to find out how consumers responded to certain designs and colors when choosing their food.

After user and marketing research, we worked closely with the client over several stylistic directions. As for the color palette, it was a no brainer – it has to be in shades of bun, tea and coffee A.K.A we selected different shades of brown and white.

We started with penning down various lettering compositions that can be modified to create a logo. However, it felt visually incomplete. We needed to create an image that any person would immediately associate with the product. After several brain storming sessions and few mock drafts we zeroed on translating the “Bun, Tea & Coffee” into a logo literally.

Now came the hard part, creating a minimalist design that was as simple as the venture concept and consistent with company’s brand and vision. One of our creative designers, came up with an idea of sandwiching the company name in between the bun and the beverage. And voila! The perfect logo for Bun Tea Coffee was born. Of course we had several do overs and way too many creative hiccups but the end was worth it all.

The Result

We managed to create a unique logo which became an identity for our client and help them create a recall value for their brand.
